I Came Up North For The Snow… But Where Is It? (update)

(Link to original article here)

Ok, to answer to the article I wrote in December… the snow is here. Nicknamed “The Beast from the East”, the entire country has been swarmed up an overwhelming amount of snow.

If you haven’t read the original article – here’s a summary:

  • I thought that if I came to uni up north I would get snow
  • The south got snow
  • The north didn’t

But now there’s so much snow that everywhere is absolutely covered in white, and it’s got to the point where it’s just an inconvenience… why did I wish for this?

I mean, I went outside to get some photos of the snow, and after only 10 minutes I looked like this. Freezing, and covered in snow. But, don’t get me wrong. I’m having the time of my life. I can finally make full-sized snowmen, and make a decent snow angel.

Uni has been shut due to unsafe conditions, which means we get so much more free time to play in the snow, or in my case, go out and take photos then sit in bed and edit them.

The photographs I’ve been taking genuinely come out amazingly, it looks like a winter wonderland.

So, in response to the original article… it’s here and it’s staying.
